投票率と無投票 (Voter turnout and abstention)

日本で4年に1度行われる「統一地方選挙」、そのなかで佐賀県県議会議員選挙が2023年4月9日に行われました。投票率が低い、と耳にするけど実際どうなのか、佐賀県内各選挙区の投票率を地図に落としてみました。佐賀県は日本の南・九州にあります。

13選挙区のうち、グレー部分の7選挙区は無投票です。半分は定員以内で選挙すら行われないという。有権者の意見は計れないな…。

ただ6選挙区の投票率も33.13～46.58％の間で、どの選挙区も有権者の半分は投票せず。

マイナンバーが投票に紐づけば便利だろうな。

Unified local elections are held every four years in Japan.

Among them, the Saga Prefectural Assembly election was held on 9 April 2023.

Voter turnout is reported for each election, but we have mapped how low it actually is.

Saga Prefecture is located in Kyushu, in the south of Japan.

Of the 13 constituencies, seven in the grey areas are uncontested. Half of them are within capacity, so elections are not even held. The voters' voices will not be heard...

In addition, in six constituencies the turnout is between 33.13% and 46.58%. Half of the voters in each constituency did not vote.
